Don’t Be A Jezebel

The Jezebel Spirit

Part 1

By: Francis Frangipane

There is a war, a very ancient war, between the spirit of EliYahu and the spirit of Jezebel. In this age-old battle, EliYahu represents the voice of Heaven: the call to repentance and the return to The Almighty One. Jezebel, on the other hand, embodies that unique principality whose purpose is to hinder and defeat the work of repentance. Its goal is to silence the prophetic call.

To understand the conflict between the EliYahu spirit and the spirit of Jezebel, we must understand these two adversaries as they are seen in the Scriptures. Each is the spiritual counterpart of the other. Is EliYahu bold? Jezebel is brazen. Is EliYahu ruthless toward evil? Jezebel is vicious toward righteousness. Does EliYahu speak of the ways and words of The Almighty One? Jezebel is full of systems of witchcraft and words of deceit.

EliYahu was the spiritual leader of Israel’s school of prophets. Under him were the sons of the prophets—literally hundreds of seers and prophetic minstrels, each of whom proclaimed the word of YAHUAH. In this war, however, Jezebel had viciously and systematically murdered all of The Almighty One’s servants until only EliYahu remained (I Kings 18:22). EliYahu, as the last of the prophets, then challenged the 450 prophets of Baal and the 400 prophets of the Asherah to a demonstration of power: their Deities against the power of YAHUAH.

These 850 men were the false prophets, the satanic priests, who ate “at Jezebel’s table” (I Kings 18:19). They were the most powerful, demonized individuals that the hosts of darkness could produce. King Ahab, Jezebel’s husband, sent a message out to all Israel, and the nation came to witness the conflict between the The Almighty One of EliYahu and the demons of Jezebel.

The terms of the challenge were simple: each was to place an ox upon an altar. EliYahu then said, “…you call on the name of your Deity, and I will call on the name of YAHUAH, and the Deity who answers by fire, He is The Almighty One’ (I Kings 18:24).

Six hours later the cult priests still could produce no fire; twelve hours passed and EliYahu began to mock them, “Call out with a loud voice, for he is a The Almighty One; either he is occupied or gone aside…perhaps he is asleep and needs to be awakened” (vs 27).

Then, just before evening at the evening oblation (3PM), EliYahu prayed over his sacrifice and, ‘The fire of YAHUAH fell, and consumed the burnt offering… And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, ‘YAHUAH, He is The Almighty One; YAHUAH, He is The Almighty One’ (I Kings 18:38-39). Immediately after this powerful witness of YAHUAH, EliYahu instructed the Israelites to gather the prophets of Baal and all of them were put to death.

We would suppose that, at this point, EliYahu would have gone into Jezreel and, with the same confidence and power that just accompanied him, destroyed Jezebel, but he did not. In fact—and this may surprise you—EliYahu came under spiritual warfare. Jezebel, in a fit of rage, released a flood of witchcraft and demonic power against EliYahu that overwhelmed him, swamping his soul with fear and discouragement, causing him to flee.

How could such a mighty prophet turn and run? The answer is not simple. In fact, the situation worsened. We next see EliYahu sitting beneath a juniper tree, bewailing that he is no better than his fathers–actually praying that he might die! (I Kings 19:4) What pressure overwhelmed this great man of The Almighty One that he would fall prey to such fear and discouragement? The spirit of Jezebel.

Now listen, my beloved comrades, and understand. When you take a stand against the principality of Jezebel, even though you resist her temptation and witchcraft, you must guard against the power-demons of Fear and Discouragement, for these will be sent against you to smother your prayer and silence your voice against Jezebel.

The Drama Continues…

The war between EliYahu and Jezebel reanimates at peak seasons in the history of man. Remember what the Scriptures speak concerning John the Baptist: he was to be a, “forerunner before [YAHUAH] in the spirit and power of EliYahu” (Lk 1:17). Yahuah-Yeshua said of John the Baptist, “…he himself is EliYahu, who was to come” (Matt 11:14, 17:11-13).

John even looked like EliYahu.

Like EliYahu, John proclaimed the need for repentance wherever he saw sin. One such area was in the adulterous lives of King Herod and his wife, Herodias. When John confronted them, Herodias had him imprisoned (Mk 6:17-19). But who was this manipulating and controlling in the dark, spiritual side of Herodias? As EliYahu’s spirit ministered through John, so Jezebel had surfaced into this world through Herodias!

What Jezebel did to EliYahu in the wilderness, Herodias now released against John: fear and discouragement blanketed the thought life of this mighty servant of The Almighty One. John the Baptist, who had visibly seen the Spirit descend as a dove upon Messiah, who heard the Father’s audible voice and beheld the living Son of The Almighty One, was now asking if what he saw was real (Matt 11:3). The only man alive who had living contact with The Almighty One, now doubted the vision.

“And a strategic day came when Herod…gave a banquet” (Mk 6:21).

“Strategic” is the perfect word to describe the timing of this event. For in this war between the spirits of EliYahu and Jezebel, Herodias had her daughter dance before Herod, enticing from the king a promise to give whatever she asked. At her mother’s request—more truly, at Jezebel’s request—she demanded the head of the Baptist be brought to her. Why decapitation? Through John’s mouth came the word of The Almighty One. The audible proclamation of the word of The Almighty One is the greatest threat to this spirit. To cut off John’s head was to silence his mouth and cut off his authority. Thus, temporarily, the confrontation between the spirits of these two eternal enemies subsided.

EliYahu Is Coming!

Two thousand years ago, Yahuah-Yeshua stated that the ministry of EliYahu was not over. He promised, “EliYahu is coming and will restore all things…” (Matt 17:11). Malachi the prophet also wrote, “Behold, I am going to send you EliYahu the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of YAHUAH” (Mal 4:5). The spirit or influence of EliYahu, according to scripture, will return to the affairs of mankind before the great and terrible day of YAHUAH! His purpose will be to restore all things.

Even as YAHUAH used the spirit of EliYahu, through the Ruach HaQodosh, to empower Elisha and then John the Baptist, so YAHUAH is raising up an EliYahu company of prophets, Spirit-filled men and women sent forth to prepare the way for the return of Messiah! Let it also be known that, if EliYahu is coming before Yahuah-Yeshua returns, so also is Jezebel.

Indeed, do you not see her in our land in the abundance of witchcraft and harlotries? Do you not hear her brazen voice rejecting The Almighty One’s authority and exalting her rebellion in feminism? Have you not beheld her causing even The Almighty One’s “bond-servants” to “commit acts of immorality”? (Rev 2:20) Seeing Jezebel so blatantly manifest herself only confirms that the spirit of EliYahu is also here to bring repentance and help prepare The Almighty One’s people for the return of YAHUAH.

In the Old Testament we see how The Almighty One destroyed Jezebel. Jehu, the newly crowned king of Israel, was sent by the word of YAHUAH through EliYahu’s successor, Elisha, to fulfill The Almighty One’s judgment. As Jehu and his men furiously drove their chariots toward Jezreel, the kings of Israel and Judah came out to meet him, ” ‘Is it peace, Jehu?’ And he answered, ‘What peace, so long as the harlotries of your mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?’ (II Kings 9:21-22) Jehu slew the two kings. Immediately afterward, he rode into Jezreel to confront Jezebel. The Word tells us that when she saw him, she painted her eyes and adorned her head, and looking out an upper window, she called to him, ‘Is it well, Zimri (Jehu), your master’s murderer?’

Then he lifted up his face to the window and said, ‘Who is on my side? Who?’ And two or three eunuchs looked down at him. And he said, ‘Throw her down.’ So they threw her down, and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall and on the horses, and he trampled her under foot”” (II Kings 9:30-33 NAS/KJ).

There was something in Jehu’s spirit that we must possess today in our war against Jezebel. While we must be compassionate toward those captured by Jezebel, Jehu had no mercy, no hope for reform, no compromise or sympathy whatsoever toward this demonic spirit! Jehu ‘…trampled her under foot.’

While she lay bleeding and near death, he trampled her beneath the feet of his horse!

While we are not called to so physical a demonstration of our resolve, spiritually, like Jehu’s heart, we must have no tolerance whatsoever for this spirit!

There can be no peace, no relaxing under our “fig tree,” until the influence of Jezebel is slain! We must stop living for comfort as long as her harlotries and witchcrafts are so many in our land! We must refuse to settle for a false peace based on compromise and fear, especially when the Spirit of The Almighty One is calling for “War”!

It is significant that the eunuchs cast her down. Some of you who are reading this have been made eunuchs, slaves to this evil spirit. Today, right now, The Almighty One is giving you the privilege of participating in the eternal judgment against Jezebel. You cast her down! Side with The Almighty One, and let the judgments of The Almighty One come forth!

Remember, this evil spirit desires to silence your spiritual authority by quieting your voice. Thus, even as you repent for any yieldedness toward her seductions, you must learn to speak against Jezebel’s influence. Use the name of Yahuah-Yeshua to command this demon from your children, your family, your assembly and your soul. Don’t let it decapitate you-open your mouth and pray against it!

Pray with us: Spirit of Jezebel, in the authority of Yahuah-Yeshua Messiah, which He gives us as His servants, we release your captives! We set free your slaves! We speak to the eunuchs, cast down your sympathetic strongholds toward Jezebel! Cast down her evil imaginations from your minds! In the power of Yahuah-Yeshua’ name, we release you from her psychic grip upon your soul. In the authority of the Living Messiah, we proclaim SET-APART WAR upon the spirit of Jezebel! Amen.

 Have Shalom.

[1] Israel .  At the times when they were not walking in the will of

Elohim, or experiencing the Spirit of Elohim, the sin in their lives prevented them from dealing with this spirit in

victory.

The children of Israel, or the Nation of Israel, if you prefer, are now serving territorial spirits (baals) and

indulging in sexual sins (ashtoreth worship) that we probably would not describe in church today.

Let’s look at the shootout at the OK Corral:

Bloodshed has already occurred.  Death of Elohim’s prophets at Jezebel’s hand:

1Ki 18:13 Was it not told my master what I did when Jezebel slew the prophets of YAHUAH, how I hid an

hundred men of YAHUAH’S prophets by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water?

(Obadiah’s statement).

EliYahu meets Obadiah on the road.  He tells Obadiah to call for Ahab.

And now you say, Go tell your lord, Behold, EliYahu is here; and he will kill me.  EliYahu said, As YAHUAH of hosts lives, before Whom I stand, I will surely show myself to Ahab today.  So Obadiah went to meet Ahab and told him, and Ahab went to meet EliYahu.  When Ahab saw EliYahu, Ahab said to him, Are you he who troubles Israel?

EliYahu replied, I have not troubled Israel, but you have, and your father’s house, by forsaking the commandments of YAHUAH and by following the Baals.

Therefore send and gather to me all Israelat Mount Carmel, and the 450 prophets of Baal and the 400 prophets of [the Goddess] Asherah, who eat at [Queen] Jezebel’s table.

So Ahab sent to all the Israelites and assembled the prophets at Mount Carmel.

EliYahu came near to all the people and said, How long will you halt and limp between two opinions? If YAHUAH is Elohim, follow Him! But if Baal, then follow him. And the people did not answer him a word.

Then EliYahu said to the people, I, I only, remain a prophet of YAHUAH, but Baal’s prophets are 450 men.

Let two bulls be given us; let them choose one bull for themselves and cut it in pieces and lay it on the wood but put no fire to it. I will dress the other bull, lay it on the wood, and put no fire to it.

Then you call on the name of your Elohim, and I will call on the name of YAHUAH; and the One Who answers by fire, let Him be Elohim. And all the people answered, It is well spoken.

EliYahu said to the prophets of Baal, Choose one bull for yourselves and dress it first, for you are many; and call on the name of your Elohim, but put no fire under it.

So they took the bull given them, dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning until noon, saying, O Baal, hear and answer us! But there was no voice; no one answered. And they leaped upon or limped about the altar they had made.

At noonEliYahu mocked them, saying, Cry aloud, for he is a Elohim; either he is musing, or he has gone aside, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is asleep and must be awakened.

And they cried aloud and cut themselves after their custom with knives and lances until the blood gushed out upon them. [2][2]

Midday passed, and they played the part of prophets until the time for offering the evening sacrifice, but there was no voice, no answer, no one who paid attention.

Then EliYahu said to all the people, Come near to me. And all the people came near him. And he repaired the [old] altar of YAHUAH that had been broken down [by Jezebel]. [1 Kings 18:13; 19:10]

Then EliYahu took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of YAHUAH came, saying, Israelshall be your name. [Gen. 32:28]

And with the stones EliYahu built an altar in the name [and self-revelation] of YAHUAH. He made a trench about the altar as great as would contain two measures of seed.

He put the wood in order and cut the bull in pieces and laid it on the wood and said, Fill four jars with water and pour it on the burnt offering and the wood.

And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time.

The water ran round about the altar, and he filled the trench also with water.

At the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, EliYahu the prophet came near and said, O Sovereign, the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are Elohim in Israel and that I am Your servant and that I have done all these things at Your word.

Hear me, O Sovereign, hear me, that this people may know that You, YAHUAH, are Elohim, and have turned their hearts back [to You].

Then the fire of YAHUAH fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice and the wood and the stones and the dust, and also licked up the water that was in the trench.

When all the people saw it, they fell on their faces and they said, YAHUAH, He is Elohim! YAHUAH, He is Elohim!

And EliYahu said, Seize the prophets of Baal; let not one escape. They seized them, and EliYahu brought them down to the brook Kishon, and [as Elohim’s law required] slew them there. [Deut. 13:5; 18:20]

And EliYahu said to Ahab, Go up, eat and drink, for there is the sound of abundance of rain.

So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And EliYahu went up to the top of Carmel; and he bowed himself down upon the earth and put his face between his knees

And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up and looked and said, There is nothing. EliYahu said, Go again seven times.

And at the seventh time the servant said, A cloud as small as a man’s hand is arising out of the sea. And EliYahu said, Go up, say to Ahab, Hitch your chariot and go down, lest the rain stop you.

In a little while, the heavens were black with wind-swept clouds, and there was a great rain. And Ahab went to Jezreel.

The hand of YAHUAH was on EliYahu. He girded up his loins and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel [nearly twenty miles].

AHAB TOLD Jezebel all that EliYahu had done and how he had slain all the prophets [of Baal] with the sword.

Then Jezebel sent a messenger to EliYahu, saying, So let the Elohims do to me, and more also, if I make not your life as the life of one of them by this time tomorrow.

Then he was afraid and arose and went for his life and came to Beersheba of Judah [over eighty miles, and out of Jezebel’s realm] and left his servant there.

But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness and came and sat down under a lone broom or juniper tree and asked that he might die. He said, It is enough; now, O Sovereign, take away my life; for I am no better than my fathers.

As he lay asleep under the broom or juniper tree, behold, an angel touched him and said to him, Arise and eat.  1 Kings 18:14 – 19:5

This spirit wants to make YOU a church-attending, non-effective person who is sought after, hunted, and fearful of this spirit – F Frangipane.

Fear and discouragement are the elements of intimidation.  If you’re fighting these things on a spiritual or mental battlefield, this can be the work of a jezebel spirit.

The Word of YAHUAH comes against this spirit.

OT war between EliYahu and the Queen of Israel, Jezebel. Controlling, and manipulating, it was a spirit that worked through her that tried to silence the man of Elohim.

EliYahu represented the Spirit of Elohim and Elohim’s Kingdom.  Jezebel had promoted Asherah worship and Baal (territorial spirits) worship.  She had possibly killed all of the other prophets.

It was in this setting that EliYahu called for a shootout with Jezebel’s prophets.

1Ki 16:31 And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.

1Ki 16:32 And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria .

1Ki 16:33 And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke YAHUAH Elohim of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.

1Ki 18:1 And it came to pass after many days, that the word of YAHUAH came to EliYahu in the third year, saying, Go, show thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.

1Ki 18:2 And EliYahu went to show himself unto Ahab. And there was a sore famine in Samaria .

The Spirit of Jezebel and John the Baptist

Mk 6:21 But an opportune time came [for Herodias] when Herod on his birthday gave a banquet for his nobles and the high military commanders and chief men of Galilee .

Herod was taken in by this seducing spirit.  Before we look at this passage in the Amplified and get the facts let’s take a moment and examine the official AG position on this type of study.

It seems important, then, that we do not permit Satan to sidetrack Elohim’s people into an attention on demons or evil spirits that goes beyond the clear teaching of the Bible, thus producing a reaction that would turn people away from all that is supernatural and hinder the work of Elohim.[3] [3]

In other words, our goal is to understand our adversary.  To be able to recognize when he is working in our home, church, family or other environment.

There is an old Chinese book called “The Art of War.”

1. Sun Tzu said:  The art of war is of vital importance to
   the State.

2. It is a matter of life and death, a road either to
safety or to ruin.  Hence it is a subject of inquiry
which can on no account be neglected.

Knowing how to war against the enemy is something that we often learn too late.  After the failure of our marriages or the loss of our children to lives of sin and defeat, we find power in total submission to Elohim.  It’s only THEN that He can exchange the commodity of our pride for His Power.

So rather than wait until it’s too late, let’s learn NOW!

Spiritual Power Manifest by the Disciples

Mk 6:13 And they drove out many unclean spirits and anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them.

The News Spreads

Mk 6:14 King Herod heard of it, for [Yahuah-Yeshua] name had become well known. He and they [of his court] said, John the Baptist has been raised from the dead; that is why these mighty powers [ of performing miracles] are at work in Him.

Mk 6:15 [But] others kept saying, It is EliYahu! And others said, It is a prophet, like one of the prophets [of old].

Herod Draws a Conclusion

Mk 6:16 But when Herod heard [of it], he said, [ This very] John, whom I beheaded, has been raised [from the dead].

Herod’s Personal History With John

Mk 6:17 For [this] Herod himself had sent and seized John and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, because he [Herod] had married her.

Mk 6:18 For John had told Herod, It is not lawful and you have no right to have your brother’s wife.

Mk 6:19 And Herodias was angry (enraged) with him and held a grudge against him and wanted to kill him; but she could not,

Mk 6:20 For Herod had [ a reverential] fear of John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and [continually] kept him safe [ under guard]. When he heard [John speak], he was much perplexed; and [yet] he heard him gladly.

One of Herodias’s Manipulations

Mk 6:21 But an opportune time came [for Herodias] when Herod on his birthday gave a banquet for his nobles and the high military commanders and chief men of Galilee .

Mk 6:22 For when the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased and fascinated Herod and his guests; and the king said to the girl, Ask me for whatever you desire, and I will give it to you.

Herod’s Blind Oath

Mk 6:23 And he put himself under oath to her, Whatever you ask me, I will give it to you, even to the half of my kingdom. [Esth. 5:3, 6]

Mk 6:24 Then she left the room and said to her mother, What shall I ask for [myself]? And she replied, The head of John the Baptist!

Mk 6:25 And she rushed back instantly to the king and requested, saying, I wish you to give me right now the head of John the Baptist on a platter.

Herod Sees the Trap Too Late

Mk 6:26 And the king was deeply pained and grieved and exceedingly sorry, but because of his oaths and his guests, he did not want to slight her [by breaking faith with her].

Mk 6:27 And immediately the king sent off one [of the soldiers] of his bodyguard and gave him orders to bring [John’s] head. He went and beheaded him in the prison

Mk 6:28 And brought his head on a platter and handed it to the girl, and the girl gave it to her mother.

Mk 6:29 When his disciples learned of it, they came and took [John’s] body and laid it in a tomb.

How DOES the Spirit of Jezebel Operate?

This spirit is sensual.

You don’t have to have an affair with a physical person to have a relationship with the spirit of Jezebel – FF This spirit creates and encourages unfullfillable desires in men and fantasies in women.

This spirit is manipulative.

This spirit is eager for power.

This spirit may display a humbleness and humility to cloak a divisive, critical, destructive force that lies beneath the surface.

This spirit may manifest a religious knowledge and show and ability to move easily among the brethren.  It will often know a lot about religious subjects.  This spirit can become intolerant of another’s particular beliefs.

This spirit is skilled at lining up those who will support a particular opinion so that there is a division, and maybe several divisions within the Body of Christ.  Pride is the fuel that this spirit combines with a volatile mix of lust for power, influence and control.

This spirit looks for what turns you on.  For what makes you susceptible.  It looks for things that feed lustful thoughts and keep them coming to your mind.  It has seen the strongest men and women of Elohim leave their convictions and their calling.  These men and women of Elohim have many, many times gone the road to ruin and lost their inheritance eternally.

I’m not going to argue with anyone today about whether they lost their salvation.  We may not agree on that subject.  But we would agree that the gain or loss that their actions had on the Kingdom of Elohim were sadly negative.

This spirit has had thousands of years to study mankind.  This spirit knows that you are susceptible when you’re dissatisfied with your husband or wife and you’re looking around with a roving eye.  This spirit doesn’t operate in a vacuum.  It’s not a force like magnetism or gravity.  It DOES have to obey certain laws, though.

You come against this spirit by repenting.  You come against this spirit by praying the Word of Elohim.  You come against this spirit by being humble.  You come against this spirit by running from sin.  You RUN from temptation.  You RUN from sexual entanglements.  You run TO the Throne of Elohim.

You cannot win against this spirit by yourself.  That is the effect of pride.  “I have kept myself from this sin or that sin” you may say.  But, in fact, it’s the Grace of Elohim and the Ruach HaQodosh in us that keep us from these sins.

Ps 94:18 When I said, My foot is slipping, Your mercy and loving-kindness, O YAHUAH, held me up.

You come against this spirit by cleaning your house.  Spiritually.  Intellectually.  Physically.

A thought of sin is not a sinful thought.  It’s good to remember that Elohim hears our thoughts.  We can discipline our thought life.

Ps 94:11 YAHUAH knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

Ps 94:12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O YAHUAH, and teachest him out of thy Torah;

Ps 94:13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

Let’s clean our houses.  Clean that computer.  Clean the things your read.  Don’t just gather it up and store it for later; it’s like germs.  Never clean your dishes and it won’t be long before you’re so sick you won’t know WHAT to do!

Mt 5:29 If your right eye serves as a trap to ensnare you or is an occasion for you to stumble and sin, pluck it out and throw it away. It is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be cast into hell (Gehenna).

Mt 5:30 And if your right hand serves as a trap to ensnare you or is an occasion for you to stumble and sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better that you lose one of your members than that your entire body should be cast into hell (Gehenna).

FF says that this doesn’t mean that you are to gouge your eye out.  It’s what your eye sees that needs to be taken out.  If your TV offends you, get rid of it.  If you like the message that the programs send to you, keep it.  If your spirit enjoys the 10-15 minutes per hour (or maybe more) that your mind watches the slick, sexy, smooth advertising, then you need to ask yourself if you’re really a true follower of Messiah.  Did you really take up a stake to follow Messiah?  I think you did or you wouldn’t be here.  But you can’t carry His stake with one hand and drag along this other junk.

This spirit is deceitful.  Above all things it will work to deceive you and me.  I can’t list ALL the ways this happens, but let’s look at some of them:

Sin

Justification

Sexual sin against one’s self

“it doesn’t really hurt anybody”

Sexual sin with someone else

“Elohim will just have to forgive me – He said   He would”

1Co 6:18 Shun immorality and all sexual looseness [flee from impurity in thought, word, or deed]. Any other sin which a man commits is one outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.

1Co 6:19 Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Ruach HaKodesh it Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from Elohim? You are not your own, you are bought with a price.

Lying, greed, covetousness.  If you look at any vice or sin that you or I come against today, they all have some relationship to Elohim’s law.  We can try to justify some of these.

The one’s we clearly can’t justify, we just ignore!  The bottom line is that when we break Elohim’s Torah, the punishment for it is death.

Letting sin into our lives gives the spirit realm power.  And it’s not Elohim’s Spirit that is empowered by sin.  It’s the enemy.  Coming against this humbly by relying on Elohim’s Word will defeat this force that is trying to conquer our souls.  Not coming against it, living in silence gives it power.

Let’s shut the door on this spirit.

Let’s STAY AWAY from things that could lead us further from Elohim.  I didn’t say things that would, I said things that COULD!  Recognize the power of words.  They are spoken into your life every day.  Are they the kind of words that will build you up in Elohim’s spirit?

How about the last time you cut someone off getting out of the parking lot at Costco?  Did they speak words of blessing into your life?  What words do we speak at home?  Do we speak words of blessing into the lives of our family?  I hope so.  But I know that sometimes we allow ourselves to be caught in frustration and even anger.  THEN what words do we use?

See the power of images.  With a simple image we can take a country to the battlefield.  Some of you remember images from the Viet Nam war.  Images of Buddhists pouring gasoline over themselves and lighting their bodies on fire.  Images of the enemy being thrown from helicopters.  We don’t like to talk about these things because these images move us deeply.

There may be men and even women here today who LIVED those images.  See how important what you see is?

See the power of music.  Elohim made mankind to not just enjoy music, but to interact emotionally with it.  Is your music appropriate?  A prayer that is taped to a photo of my daughter playing the harp says “Elohim, please bless my music, that it might glorify Your Name and may using it to serve You always be my aim.”

Is your music self-serving?

How about what you read?  Does it build us up or just entertain us?  Entertainment is OK.  But if you’re reading things that destroy your spiritual power and dangle the bait of the enemy before you, you need to take a trip to the trashcan.

If we have things in our homes that could cause others to sin, let’s get rid of THEM.    None of us would leave a loaded firearm where children play.  Or even an unloaded one.  Leaving access to TV and movies and questionable or even unquestionable reading material is just as dangerous.

FF “You won’t win it as long as you’re in it.”  If you’re in a relationship that doesn’t, at its core, honor Elohim.  Get out.  If your relationship is heading for intimacy and Elohim isn’t part of it, get out.  The natural chemistry that makes the love relationship between men and women so interesting is Elohim-given.  If you’re refereeing your own game, or someone else is, but Elohim isn’t, then it’s a dangerous thing that you’re doing.

If you have a friend that is in an un-godly relationship because of loneliness or has, in the interest of romance, started dating someone who cares nothing about this person’s eternal relationship with Elohim, pray for them.  Counsel them.  And them pray for them.  Neither you nor I can fight the power of seduction, you can ONLY flee from it.

If Elohim is not the center of a man’s relationship with his wife, it will be very easy for the enemy to subvert the bonds that should be tying them together.

Use the Word – you can’t just know it, you have to obey it.

WE need to learn how to pray the Word of Elohim.  We can’t do it in one easy session where you get the formula and you just plug your name into it.  But If we learn the PRINCIPLE of praying the Word of Elohim, you will know how to bring power into your prayer.

That is probably the greatest key. That is the thing that gives the enemy fear!

“If you’re going to do something that reduces you down to a quiet church-mouse, get RID of it”.  FF Satan will rage when he knows his time is short.  Here are some of the signs of that soon approaching time:

Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send you EliYahu the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of YAHUAH:

Mal 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

CONCERNS:

It is estimated that large segments of Christian youth in certain parts of the country are attending high school dances and participating in proms. It is ironic that at the same time we recognize the importance of getting our youth involved in “True Love Waits” rallies, some of the same parents feel social dancing is equally good for their child’s development. The caution to be sexually pure is hollow when temptation is encouraged through involvement in dances. Just one life lost for eternity because of a freer interpretation of biblical morality is more than any individual, parent, or church should allow. Elohim is not willing that any should perish, neither should the church be negligent in warning of those practices which may allow it to happen.

Parents and church leaders must also be aware of the seductive and enticing atmosphere of most dance settings. The music, the immoral lyrics, the dim lighting, the immodest attire of some who attend—all encourage levels of intimacy that often leads to greater temptations. Though some defend public school dances as not fitting this description, the associations formed at a dance can lead to later involvement in dances in settings which are entirely threatening to a Christian lifestyle, where drinking and drunken behavior are permitted.

Some Christians in various parts of the country are establishing “Christian dance clubs” utilizing Christian contemporary music in an attempt to eliminate objections to dancing because it often takes place in unwholesome, even evil, settings. The very idea dancing is often connected with other vices should sound a caution to those who attempt to sanitize an activity which at best poses great moral risk.

You can’t fight the power of seduction, you can ONLY flee from it. FF

Jezebel in Revelation

 Rev 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of Elohim, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

Rev 2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

Rev 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

Rev 2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

Rev 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

Rev 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
